Real Fruits. One Dense Yak Milk Base. Hours of Chewing.
Flavored Yak Chews for Dogs

What Makes the Infused Collection Different
Not a surface coating. The flavor in every chew below was added during the production process itself with real ingredients. Here is what that means for your dog.
Long Chewing Sessions
The dense yak milk base means most dogs chew for 2 to 4 hours per session across multiple sittings, though this varies by dog size and chewing style. This is the same hard chhurpi base as Heritage Original. The infused flavor does not change the texture or the chewing duration.
Simple Ingredients
Most "flavored" chews coat or spray the outside of the product. Once your dog chews through the outer layer, the experience is over. Every chew in the Infused Collection has the flavoring incorporated during production, so the peanut butter, the pumpkin, and the blueberry are consistent from the first bite to the last nub.
Gentle on Most Dogs
The base of every chew is yak milk, lime juice, and salt. Each flavor adds one real ingredient: ground peanut butter, pumpkin powder, blueberry powder, strawberry, or turmeric. You can read the entire ingredient list in under ten seconds.
The Flavor Goes All the Way Through
The traditional chhurpi process removes most of the lactose that would otherwise be present in dairy products. Most dogs who are sensitive to dairy tolerate yak chews well. If your dog has a known dairy sensitivity, start with one session and observe how they respond.
FAQs
Got Questions? We have answers
Is the flavor actually infused, or is it just a coating on the outside?
The flavoring is added during the production process itself, before the chew is shaped and dried. This means the peanut butter, pumpkin, blueberry, strawberry, or turmeric runs through the entire chew, not just the surface layer. The taste stays consistent from the first chew to the last nub.
Which flavor should I try first if my dog has never been interested in yak chews before?
Peanut Butter. The aroma is one of the most reliably appealing scents for dogs, and it works on first-timers and picky chewers who have turned their nose up at plain yak chews before. The peanut butter powder used in this chew is naturally xylitol-free. Once your dog engages with the Peanut Butter version, many owners find they can introduce other flavors or Heritage Original and their dog takes to them just as readily.
Is the peanut butter safe for dogs? Does it contain xylitol?
Yes, it is safe. The peanut butter powder used in the Peanut Butter Yak Chew contains no xylitol at any level. Xylitol is a sweetener used in some commercial peanut butter products that is toxic to dogs. Ours uses natural peanut butter powder only.
How long does one chew actually last?
Most dogs chew for 2 to 4 hours per session, spread across multiple sittings over several days. The density of chhurpi means they cannot finish the chew in one go. Dogs on the heavier end of a size range will go through it faster, which is why we recommend sizing up if your dog is close to the top of their weight range.
What is the microwave trick?
When the chew gets down to a nub too small to be safe for your dog to chew, wet the nub, place it on a microwave-safe plate, and microwave it for about 45 seconds. It puffs into a light, crunchy treat in whatever flavor your dog has been working on. No waste, and most dogs treat this as the best part of the whole experience.
My dog is sensitive to dairy. Can they have a yak chew?
Yak chews are low in lactose because the traditional chhurpi production process removes most of the lactose present in the original milk. Most dogs who are sensitive to dairy tolerate yak chews without issue. That said, every dog is different. Start with one chewing session and monitor how your dog responds before making it a daily routine. If your dog has a diagnosed dairy allergy rather than a sensitivity, consult your vet first.
Can puppies have these chews?
Yes, for puppies 6 months and older. The same age guideline that applies to Heritage Original applies to every chew in the Infused Collection. Puppies often take to the Peanut Butter flavor immediately, which makes it a good first introduction to hard chews. Always supervise and choose the size that matches your puppy's current weight.
